billed me for 3 of these books and made me pay postage to send back2009-06-214 / 5
The book is fine, however, CAUTION - sent me 3 of the same book. (I ordered only one) They made me pay the postage to send back the 2 extra books. There is no way I can get this money back. It was their mistake and they make me pay. NEVER again will I order from .
I've read all the PS Elements books. This is the best, by far2009-05-025 / 5
This guidebook is fabulous. I've read and practiced the tips, instructions, suggestions of all the PS elements manuals. Nothing compares to this one. Simply put: clear, concise, sensible, intelligent, tastefully designed, excellent illustrations/visuals, process analysis, classification, etc. Just two minor points; it does say 'advanced' in the title. I haven't looked at the 'basic' book by this author, and, although I do know a bit about PS elements, I don't think a rank beginner would have any trouble following the book. Besides, you can always look at the tutorials/help provided by Adobe as back-up. I tend to be perfectionistic when reading a book of this sort, and the only dispute I would have is when the author states that a properly (meaning by the book) exposed image is the key to a good photograph. I think most photographers would say intentional underexposure can be useful at times for getting certain effects.
    An Excellent Elements 6 Companion2008-12-235 / 5
Even though it is titled as an "Advanced" manual, this is the book that is most useful for a person who is experienced with other software but is new to Photoshop Elements 6. Philip Andrews style is clear and very pleasant to read. His book explains and instructs the techniques that will be valuable to the user who has done basic photo improvement editing in other software and is looking for the additional editing facility that Photoshop Elements 6 offers. This book is highly recommended and a "must read."
Taking it to the next level2008-11-035 / 5
I was looking for something to help me with some of the more complex features in Elements. This book is doing it for me. Great examples, photos, and procedures in the book. I recommend this book for those who need more in-depth use of PhotoShop Elements.
    Excellent book for Photoshop 62008-09-265 / 5
This is a book that is designed for those already familiar with Photoshop Elements 6 (PE6). The range of techniques and methods start with some the basics and also include more advanced techniques for handling and enhancing images. Particularly interesting are the non-destructive techniques to modify and enhance important images. Some techniques and methods can be convoluted but are worth the effort to learn.

Highly recommended for those with some experience with PE and who need or want to extend their knowledge across a range of topics at the intermediate level.
